Introducing Stage 1 of “The Cradle”, a body horror genre sculpture that incorporates themes of life and death, foreign and familiar, and transformation and evolution.  Here, a flayed face emerges from a rusty, pock-marked shell, whilst glistening brain matter bulges in the cracks.  What macabre matters might be breeding and seething within that semblance of a head?  We will find out soon enough …

Each statue is meticulously painted using a combination of air- and dry brushing techniques.  We also utilize oxidizing agents to create the patination on the shell/egg.  Every statue is individually hand-painted, making each a unique work of art.
